Goodbye

Goodbye
is something we sadly say
when we know we cannot make the one we love smile
When we know we will only complicate their life
when silence replaces hello
Goodbye
is not in my heart
never could roll off my tongue
is not in my soul
Goodbye
is when we just don't fit
when we're misunderstood
when we're not good enough
when heartbreak feels so rough
Goodbye
pulls at a heart
Makes it turn dark and hopeless
only tears
lonliness absolute
Goodbye
is the word we dread
felt if not voiced or said
when we immagined and dreamed
and our hearts held so much hope
so much, it seemed
Goodbye
we hope is not the truth
we know goodbye
is the sound of our heart breaking
but we cannot say
Goodbye

    • Good bye should never be said because life brings surprises and you never know who you will meet. Good bye is final and nothing is never is even when you pass away you still live even if it is in little ways. A thought or gesture reminds someone of you and memories and experience with people who you even forgotten you even knew. strangers you bump with in the streets and that smile that you gave or the kind words you share that day might have save a life or change someone thought of life and its cruel ways.
      • I guess that's why I can't seem to say it..
