health & pills health & pillsPropecia Information for Hair Loss & Baldness Treatment:

Propecia is an oral prescription for treating hair loss and male pattern baldness. There are roughly 40 million men in the U.S. alone who suffer some form of baldness. By the age of 35, nearly 40% of men show signs of hair loss. Propecia has helped men feel more confident by regaining a younger look.

Called "the baldness pill", Propecia has shown true effectiveness against baldness while keeping the hair men already have.

health & pillsHow does Propecia work?

Finasteride, the active ingredient in Propecia, works to inhibit DHT (dihydrotestosterone) hormone levels in men, which directly causes male pattern baldness and hair loss. Clinical studies of Propecia for baldness have shown that 50% of men using Propecia after one year have grown new hair and 66% after two years. Propecia also prevented further baldness in 86% of men.

Researchers have found that DHT (dihydrotestosterone) hormone levels play a key role in the development of male pattern baldness. While this hormone is essential for proper genital development in male babies, DHT levels during mature ages contribute to the shortening of the hair growth phase, ultimately thinning the hair until hair is no longer grown from the follicle. Propecia works to inhibit DHT levels in the scalp and interrupting the natural progression of male pattern baldness.

health & pillsDoes Propecia have side effects?
