The last days of winter are the weirdest of all
They're neither cold nor warm, bright nor dark
There's an eerie feeling hanging in the air
And the world like a ghost, is lost in a dream
I awoke to the glare of a morning winter sun
The children laughed and played amongst the snow
But it seemed like an enchanted dream to me
A fairytale story too good to be true
I stand alone in the middle of the field
Watching and waiting for it to come
I watch the mountains, each one in turn
Then my eyes find what I'm looking for
You go to leave but I hold you closer
You fight it until I kiss your lips
And we're both left transfixed in eternity
Looking deeply into one another's eyes
GOING TO PLACES WHERE WE ONCE HAVE GONE,
ASKING HOW WITHOUT YOU I'D CARRY ON.
AFTER ALL WE DID TOGETHER, AFTER ALL WE'VE BEEN THROUGH,
HOW CAN I EVER IMAGINE MY LIFE WITHOUT YOU?.

Trust is something that is very little these days
But it is something that always seems to stand in my way
I feel without trust there is no love
So I protect myself like a hand inside a glove
