I search & try to find myself, but I just cannot see...
who's reflection stares back from the mirror?
There's no way that can be me
I'm not that one with the pain in her eyes
Fulfilling the role of the joke of the day
And all that really matters anymore
Is searching for the life we let slip through the door
Once open to a world of imagery
Have you ever just stood there and refused to acknowledge yourself?
Refused to see that you
There, in the mirror, that sliding tear, shameful
But with arrogance, never admit you
Every morning I look into the mirror and this is what I see
a bloody ghost staring at me
I swear ive seen this girl out by that tree
singing and playing. Happy to be free
Everyday I look at you wishing there would be a change, and I wonder why I look this way. I want to feel good, and I want to feel wanted not neglected as if I were different. I go crazy, and I cry at night thinking about the hurtful words I hear everyday of my life. You’re fat, skinny, ugly, small or too tall, and worse of all being ignored.

The evening rush hour has passed with the days sun, she parks the car along the side street, The rain has come to a drizzle. Not understanding the pple she rushes to the front door of her shop, going in she shakes her long alburn hair, her indian helper welcomes her with a towel, "thank you" going behind the counter, she looks at the daily sales slips.

A pretty face cradles a tear on her cheek. Running for makeup trying to hide a freak. All I ever saw was a sad little girl. All she thought she had was me in this world.
I am her, herself, and her angel. I look at her from every angle. She knows that I’m here to chase away fear, but she can’t see me she can only see she.
