Me saying goodbye to you...

That is the hardest thing I have ever had to do.

This certainly isn't the first time it has been said,

I have repeated it time after time inside of my head.

However, the words never did sink in to my heart,

The first time you hugged me the communication cord must have torn apart.

Goodbye has been lingering on the tips of my lips for months,

Every time I plan on saying it your words instead give my heart goosebumps.

Goodbye was quite necessary to exchange this time,

The results will be better in the long run we will eventually find.

Come a couple of weeks goodbye will on longer bring me tears,

Come a couple hours goodbye will no longer linger here.

There was a lot of contemplation weather to say this or not,

A great deal of me wanted to give us another shot.

I think saying this will probably be the best thing to do,

Someday things might workout with us but for now,

Good Bye to you.
