WEDDING NIGHT

We made love last night as husband and wife
And for the very first time in my life
No words came to mind that could convey
How this profound act made speech melt away
You defined what it meant to burn with passion
For your caress and kisses set off a chain reaction
First I lost track of space then I lost track of time
The only thing I recall was your hands in mine
The rhythmic motion of our bodies in tandem
Of your tongue finding sensuous areas at random
And your kisses catching me off guard
Of your loud moans of pleasure having no regard
Of the open window or the neighbors below
And as we reached our pleasure’s plateau
You pulled me closer and peered in my eyes
And in that moment I realized
That this is how love would be for the rest of my years
I was so overcome I could not fight back tears
That expelled in waves from this reality
And in that moment I saw how heaven must be
As we collapsed, our energy spent
Sweat on our faces, our bodies content
My head rested lovingly on your chest
And as I struggled to catch my breath
I silently gave thanks to God and HIS infinite plan
For me to be your wife, and you my husband
