Twice shame on me

I’ve been broken down before

Torn apart at the seam

Then sown together so many times

That it’s hard to define

What area my heart is located in

I give my affection freely

Trusted to all effortlessly

This thread

The one I’ve been pulling at

Never seems to end

As my heart grows smaller

So must my love

No longer can I walk

No longer am I attached

I’ve been losing height

Is there no one who doesn’t have an upper hand

So unprepared

So unfair and uncompromising

How every time they surprise me

When I wake up and rise

To find my life empty

Empty wakes

Empty Takes

And fakes everything ever said

Why

Lies

The hurt

The cries

These sadden eyes close

For you

For them

How could I possibly defend

Against something I never see

A brief but poignant piece.
Re-opened wound, gloomy blues playing in the back, but in the end it sounded like you were both enjoying the whole gory thing, I'm not quite sure if it was a dark metaphor for shining love, or just plain pain itself.
Either thing is great. Jolly well writ.
