My father

My dad isn't your ordinary person,
In fact, he's not even close.
Father's day is for love,
To show him how you feel, right?
My dad has caused me so much pain,
But it doesnt change my love towards him.
When I was younger,
I have to admit, he was the best dad ever.
Things changed when he found someone else,
Then my mom divorced him.
My father and I have had some pretty rough times,
Throughout my teen years.
Things still arent better,
And I dont think they will be.
My love for my father,
However does not change.

He loves you. He too feels abandoned and betrayed and somehow you two were injured. Understand that he cannot come to you because he never left you in his heart. His greatest sadness is likely the separation he feels between you and him. Be kind to him, forgive him, and you will find he will come back to you. Most men look for respect as a sign of love. Remember to him you are always his baby girl. That will never change.
