 | The dampened couple hugged each other tight Wind and rain
stealing warmth, slowly winning the fight Though the hospital
offered shelter from this cold It was still stained with emotions,
forcing them to fold Losing their precious girl so young, so
innocent, left them distraught, hollow The will to live was
flowing away like the rain, to their daughter they would
follow Standing up the two started down a darkened road, just two
bodies with no light, no hope Their world, their foundation and
reason for living was lying in the building, no longer alive, no way
to cope Shuffling along the dank road, seeking answers within
their closed minds to what to do In the once happy halls of their
hearts, the pair found only a despairing gloom, yet still no
clue With nothing left but themselves, they steeled their wills,
this was their end they cried In their little world they had
admitted that there was nothing left, their hearts had died It was
in that moment that the doors of the hospital opened, a little girl
leaving She was aglow with life, much like their daughter before,
not struggling or heaving Skipping with glee down the road, a
stranger holding her hand, a smile on his face Despite the
overwhelming darkness not a shadow touched them, but retreated in
haste Nearing the corner, she turned with a smile that broke
through their darkness and sorrow With that small gesture of love
and hope, they found the strength that they needed to borrow
Sun breaking through clouds, like the life of the parents, light
coming and going
While her death would not be forgotten it was not the end, it was
reassuring knowing
Even if the world's light, their light was shallowed by darkness, it
was still there
Just waiting for that moment to shine, as bright as ever, without
a care
Lol this one took a lil while to finish, couldn't think of how to word the ending so that my message or purpose was clear enough, still doubt it is, cause thats the fun part of writing, to create a story and ending that appears different to whom ever reads it, cheerio!
