Love Comes But Never Goes

Love came to me when I was born,
and you held me in your arms.
Love was with me when you drove me to school,
and kept me safe from harm.

Love lingered when you came to softball games
and cheered til you lost your voice.
And if I think about it love was with me
when you left witout a choice.

Although we have parted,
the love in our souls still grows.
I know your love is guiding me still,
love comes but never goes.
