Good Night Mamma/Angel

You were loving,
Soft and warm - just like the sun.
You were happy,
Kind and good and so much fun.

Like a moonbeam,
You could light my darkest night.
Like a sunbeam,
You were my golden ray of light.

Happy, kind, so full of care,
Always there,
Full of care.

Those were good times,
But all too soon those days would end.

So to your bed you were confined,
But your spirit always shined.

In your smile I could see the pain,
When you laughed it was a strain.

And so with a heavy heart I held your head,
Stories read,
Tears were shed.

I still miss you,
As your loving voice I hear,
Good night Mamma,
I still feel you're always near.

This beautiful backing was composed by Pascal when I endeavoured to add words in memory of his late mother. His vocals were to give me the idea of the melody before trying it with a trained voice.
