Dead Destiny

her tears run free
cascading down
seeping into her soul
such hurt inside
diminished pride

he lay so still

rigid
eyes wide and blank
arms spread
chest even
blood spilt

She wept
unable to find solace in prayer
she cried for him
for the life he lost
and the life
they'll never share

she screamed in rage
body overcome
exhaustion peaking
hope lost in space and time

Helpless
emptied of all reason
struggling to find faith
sorting her thougts
and coming up blank
she raised her head
and looked down
toward her destiny

a step
was all it took

she fell
as if in slow motion
no flashbacks
just him
and now her

the silence
was deafening
for all was still

two bodies

rigid
eyes wide and blank
arms spread
chest even
blood spilt...

Hmm, I'm reading this back and I wonder how much love do you have to have in order to give up your life? Is love really enough to die? Or do people die because they truly believe their incapable of loving anyone else but that person who died? It's a strange phenomenon, suicide. So sad and I ask myself all the time, why?
