A Sad Story.


The little old lady sits quietly in the corner,

The new day has begun, freshened by last evening’s rain.
The morning sun is peaking over the mountains through the clouds.
The leaves of the trees glisten with the dew dropped from the heavens through the night.

I find myself wondering about old friends. Friends that we had in grade school, high school, and college. Friends that moved away or we moved on. Over the years we lost touch with these people we once called friends.
