The reason that I did it was simply due to rejection,
it felt like the the sharp pain of an injection,

Cancer took away all I loved,
Cancer took away all my trust,
It forced itself into my life,
Stabbed me in the back with its deep cold knife,

We shouted and screamed,
Both so angry it seemed,
Until I realised what this really did mean,
