About me

I use poetry as an exercise in imagination. Sometimes based on fact but more likely based on emotion, excitement, feeling, passion, sentiment, sympathy. Anyone can do it-just give your thoughts free rein. Born and raised in Burns (our greatest bard) country (Ayrshire, Scotland) I love the emotion that Robert Burns can stir with his verses, although at times the old Scots tongue is difficult to understand. I draw on the university of life as food for my thoughts. I enjoy writing in rhyming couplets as I think the reader can get into the story much easier.I endeavour to keep it all simple as I am a simple Scottish man.
