If you truly love him it would have been just as if you too were paralyzed in that accident and you wouldn't be able to stand by and watch him suffer alone....you would be by his side.

There are many true tragedies that can befall someone in life and they will always be easier to bear if shared. Love is not a game.....but your scenario points out the tragedy that can befall someone if LOVE is just casually taken.

Many people cowar in the face of danger and the fact that you were weak may have been revealed. If you regret that and you still know you love.....you must own up to it and likely you will be pardoned for your impulse to save yourself.
