to my mom, our Hero

keep in mind in those days, Trouble was my good ways. My mom would take my belt shed in tears n woop my ass, deep in those eyes always knew i crushed my mamas heart. Disgrace of who i was, cuhz u had me dealt, never really cared the beauty of how u felt. Getting worst day through days. 38 years of life, still never had us on welfare. Solo mother of 5 kids, playa that’s the fuckin deal. Daddy was never here. Working her ass off, just to stay real. Aching through the pain is the cost of poverty, wealthy was never in your soul, yet it was the heart of this family, just to live free u struggle incisively. Living life in 1 room, Doing 2 jobs bah day, just to pay the bills. I was only 9, what more can I do, just a second to make her smile. Remember when you used to come home Late at night, Having Mac Donald toy right by our side. So dark I used to listen n stay up. Never felt my eyes blink, just to watch u cry. In your compassion, simply us were the love of you life. 95 when we was up in here, the choices you took, prepared our life clear . Your first Camry barely worked, is not the foundation that made it seem worth, You gave us existence in a new type of birth. Your my reason why today, the knowledge i define, this poem, is intended for you, with all my heart is all i can repay. Reminiscences with the family, our 1st Christmas year, We never got the stuff you wish for, But while we went to school, we tried our best, to craft our Christmas card cool. Puttin down maybe one day, I’ll get you anything you yearn for, On a mothers day, is all on me, time for me to pay. I hate the things, what our family go through, Even thought we all fell apart, we kept our hope up, And simply you is what kept us strong, In the midst of this family, until the end of time is a beautifull phenomenon, My sweet mama, you’ll never be alone.   – Romeo J.
