I'm guessing someone like that would be happy just seeing your smile now and then and knowing you were safe. No,... on second thought, I'm thinking too maybe this person would like a hug if fate ever allowed. Though friendship with somone kind is thanks enough when kindness is returned joyfully and naturally.

I don't think this person requires anything other than being thought of kindly and knowing that you're OK. And I would think that if they ever read this sweet poem, their heart would turn very soft.

Kindness as a rule, generally seeks little in return and is best given freely. Courtesy to all: Kindness; to those most special, sensitive or in need of kindness.
