face in the clouds

I saw your face in the clouds today
my heart was yelling, but i didn't know what to say
sadness was filling up my heart
is this the beginning of that new start?

the wind was softly carrying your voice
and i felt it, without having any choice
cuz i heard you whispering my name
I couldn't help it, my heart started to flame

but then the wind blew you away
"dont go!" i wanted to scream and say
but my tongue was still, my throat kept closed
it was as if my body just kept frozed

so there i was standing all alone again
come back to me darling, as fast as you can!
dear God, why didn't you let me see
that you'd let such a darkness fall over my destiny?
