why does it always rain on me?
i feel so agitated
why can't they just let me be
free and satiated

angst stored up inside
it's me against them all
all the while, can no longer hide
i'd rather heed my fall

down down into this abyss
the air is so comforting
down down i can no longer miss
will i live to see the next morning?

finally, the threshold has broken
i am now myself at last
my love can no longer be stolen
i am now free from the past
