even after all these year

please look me in the eye
and do not try to lie
tell me the truth so true
is there a place for me and you?

these last few weeks have been hell
even the blind could tell
youre no longer the man i desire
for hed never be a liar

every time i close my eyes
i can still feel a warm embrace
arms wrapped around me were just a disguise
poisonous kisses scarred my battered face

please look me in the eye
and try not to lie
tell me straight from your heart
are we truthfully apart?

the hours tick on by
but it seems liek forever
in my darkened room i cry
i cant beleive you said, "we'd never"

please look me in the eye
and ignore my broken tears
is this where we say goodbye
even after all these years?
