at last...

deeper than a volcanic fissure,
swifter than the fastest river.

ever so bold
and ever so strong
always so right
never to be wrong.

drifting, almost sleeping
on a cloud of bliss,
yearning and learning,
caressing, we kiss.

always right,
all doubts abandoned.
giving, but sometimes
taking and demanding.

more than enough
whispered words are an added treasure,
oh the lust,
such a heady pleasure.

on and on,
each moment almost too much,
flutters of breath,
the softest of touch.

these are my days,
the hurt and pain all in the past.
true love, it seems,
has come at last.
