a young girl

Once there was a girl
Who never said a word
She even kept it quiet,
After all the lies she heard
The little girl was raped
But she kept it in her mind
The parents of that child
Where selfish and unkind
The child felt broken
And that her life was torn apart
She lost all the love
That was stored within her heart
One night this young child
Decided to run away
So she packed up a suitcase
And then kneeled down to pray
She knew that God would listen
To every word she said
He even knew the secrets
Locked inside her head
She said father I’m still young
I am only fourteen
Please help me stop the pain
From everything done to me
My head is pounding
And I am hurting deep inside
There’s so much sorrow
That I no longer can hide
O father there’s so many times
I want to end this pain
But when I think suicide
I rethink it all again
God you are all I have right now
Nobody is ever here
And if I run away right now
Nobody will care
I’m leaving this house with you tonight
My protection and my love
And maybe there will be a way
to join you up above
