and now i lay my head down to sleep
let my dreams be peaceful and my rest deep
let me have a moment to rest this weary soul
that often feels as if i am old

eyes close and breathing calmly
pray god another day to give me
bless this night and day to come
and bring good tidings always to my love and my home
