Among the trees, beside a stream
He walked with me, within a dream
We softly spoke while holding hands
Then saw an oak near lakeshore sands.
The closer we came, the more we felt
And our speaking refrained as Love wove its spell
We both rested upon the ancient oak's feet
And I heard the sweet song in his heart's gentle beat.
The stars softly danced as the moon glimmered brightly
It was such pure romance, how he held me so tightly
His eyes gripped my own, looking into my heart
We were finally alone, never needing to part.
When his lips pressed to mine, we were lost in each other
From the cruel eyes of Time, we were hiding together
Such true and sweet love we made on that night
With God's beauty above as we hid from all sight...
...Though this dream makes me feel glad,
It evokes the deepest pain
I just can't help but to feel sad
And let my tears fall with the rain.
I miss his tender, loving smile
Being without him seems unfair
Sometimes I wonder if this life is worth while
For the pain is just so much to bear.
But deep down, I know
We'll always be
Our love will grow
Through eternity.
The pain will soon fade
Once God sets me free
To return to the shade
Of that ancient oak tree.
There he will greet me
In our heavenly home
With his lips, he will meet me
And make me his own. |
