I have no penny to buy you a polo shirt
for a gift or a fancy watch for you to wear.
I don't have a single dollar to buy
  for you a collar or a gold for you to behold.
I can't go to the stores and buy for you a present
because i don't have even just a cent.
I can't send you a very special hallmark ecards because
it will cost me a few dollars.
I can not even kiss you under the mistle toe
because I can not afford a plane ticket to be there for you.
