Worth Waiting

I look down at my hand and smile,


I've been waiting for this moment for a while.


I hold my hand up so the light hits the ring,


Watching the light dance as it gleams.


It has been six long years,


Six years filled with our hopes and fears.


I look at him and smile,


We have been waiting for this for a while.
