What sort of world is this in which we live? Where at one moment we might view evil The next press a button and feel festive And this society we think civil
My heart feels this shame that’s upon my head Where I do not each day constantly weep Where I dare to smile at this life instead In a world where murder and lies are knee-deep
Wading through this tide of our utter filth I look at you all and I am afraid Not one of us worthy of pride just guilt Together this awful world we have made
And in rich freedom sits those who devour each other and anything for power. |
