What We Should Be

I look at you,
You look on by,
My hands start to shake,
I don't know why.

You're with her,
I wish you weren't,
I see you with her,
And i feel like dirt,
Because I feel these feelings that i cannot stop,
Sometimes you're all i ever think about.

Nightmares that should be dreams,
Haunt my sleep.
You and me,
That's all i see.
And it cutts into my heart to see us together like that,
Because it's all i want,
And all i need.

Why can't we,
Be what we should be?
