War-Torn

The innocent children,
People screaming and running,
The unjust murder;
The distruction was stunning.

Battered bodies crying out for help.
Lifeless corpses covering the street,
Homes bursting into flames,
Faces smashed into the concrete.

Nobody could stop them,
It happened so fast.
None dared to try and fight back.
If only one more could escape the bomb blast.
