 | My boyfriend and I met when we were in 11th grade, he was in football and I was one of the managers. It wasnt love at first sight but we both knew that the other was special. The problem was that he wasnt over his ex and it was tearing away at him. After we hung out and had been flirting for a month I told him that I liked him more then a friend, he said he felt the same way but he just wasnt ready! My heart was broken but deep down I knew that he was the one, so I told him that I would wait. Little did I know that was one of the hardest things I would ever have to do. My days were filled with thoughts of him finally telling me he was ready, and my nights were filled with tears thinking that it would never come. Time passed and every day got harder, I even had a boyfriend for two months, but it meant nothing, I knew inside I was still waiting. After six months, it was finally my turn! He was over his ex and was ready to give me all of him. We spent not even a month together when I found out that my family was moving to a different country. We were moving to a small island with very little internet, which meant little contact. But we knew that we would find a way to make it work. We spent every day together and I missed almost every curfew, but it was worth it. I got to know so much about my Alex and him about me. One day he looked at me and wiped my tears from my face, all he said was "You did your waiting and now its my turn." and i knew that everything would be fine. I moved away in August of 2006, and I was gone for six months. I came home to finish my senior year of high school and Alex met me at the air port. Being away from him was hard, it was heart breaking, but we made it work because we are more then just high school romance, we are life long loves. Our lives may take us on seperate paths but it always brings us back together, because thats how we are meant to be. Together. Our relationship has been full of waiting but it is always worth it. |  |
