True Beauty

	It is so hard being a girl in today's society. It is as if we have ruined the perception of true beauty. There's such a determination to keep our bodies so super thin. Causing girls to become anorexic and belimic, slowly killing themselves within. And who wants a girl with small breasts and no butt? But hey, problem solved with a few thousand bucks. Years go by and suddenly complications begin to occur. In the end, was it really worth the trauma you now suffer? Then it is like there's this competition with girls on who has the prettiest tan. So they lay in tanning beds and in the sun to get as dark as they can. Later comes skin cancer and the aging of the skin; not a very pretty sight. But this is the very thing we all wanted to accomplish, right? You see beauty is far more than the skin can show. Who you are on the inside leaves a lasting impression far more than you know. I wish everyone would work as hard on their inner beauty as they do their outer appearance. I can only imagine how much it would make a world of difference. Good looks will fade only in a matter of time. It is then that your true beauty will be what makes you shine.

Your writing is terrific. This peom should be in everyones conscience because its true. Mnay girls that go to my school have so muych makeup that they look like a whole different person without it. True beauty is whats in the inside! Your peom sets an example. Thank you!!
