The love I feel for you is so new for me.
It is a deeper love, more rooted in my soul,
than any I have ever felt before, for any woman.
It's like I am a fence post,
with a thick vine growing on it.
The fence post lifts the vine,
so it can see more sun,
but the vine protects to post from the weather.
If either one did not have the other, they would be nothing.
I just look at you, and see part of me,
not some woman who I share my life with
but what we wanted out of each other was so basic,
