 | As I sit here on my back porch
I look out into the trees
Sunlight glistens across the grass
Birds singing in the breeze
I see the curvature of the hills
I am reminded of your face
Looking at me with that smile
Wearing that red sundress
All we had to come
Until our days were one less
I stand and pet my dog
Start walking across the grass
Looking at the old shed
Thinking, when did I paint it last
I open the door and walk in
I see you dancing wild
Laughing and jumping in my coveralls
Glowing with that smile
I smile back and laugh
Like many times before
As I look again, all I see is the floor.
I close the door and put my hands in my pockets
With a slow pace, I hang my head
Walking towards the back porch
I am remembering all we said
Time can heal all things
Here lately I do find
I haven't really healed
Instead I'm wasting in time
Its been a while, you know
Since I felt you around this place
That time we had was wonderful
That time I will embrace
Pretty girl, I miss you
You are always on my mind
Now all I have is memories
Now all I have is time
