“Okay,
I'll give you 2 minutes to ask me anything. You'll get straight answers.”

“2
minutes?” says kyle

“Timer
starts now!”

“Thanks
but no thanks!” she sounds irate

“1:30
left”

“Look,
if you really cannot give me any real answer and if you don’t want me to get
involved…then don’t. I’m not forcing you” she exclaimed

“1:00
left”

“If
this is what you want…fine! It’s your choice”

“30
seconds to go!”

“15…10…5…time
is up!”

Kyle
did not respond. It’s clear to him now that she’s pissed.

“Ok.
Go ahead ask me anything. No time limit.”

Kyle
is not talking.

“C’mon
kyle! I’m waiting.”

“Kyle
please…”

Moments
passed. But still kyle is not saying a word.

“Kyle
are you going to talk or not?”

Finally
she replies

“What
for? Why should I talk to you? You have nothing to tell me”

“Darn
it kyle. You’re weird. Don’t play. I’m a little low for games.”

“What
do you want from me?! I gave it all…now what? Are you happy now???” she said
blatantly

“Stop
throwing tantrums! Stop tripping! That’s what I want kyle!” he said in a loud
voice

The
silence that followed seemed forever. It was an eerie, darkening moment.
Finally, katyu breaks the silence.

“I’m
sorry” he said

“For
what?”

“I
lost my temper. I’m sorry.”

“You
don’t need to feel sorry…it’s ok” she said

“Tell
me why you’re acting like this.”

“You
own me so you have the right to do whatever…I’m yours…that’s what you said,
right? Now I want to know if I own you too. Are mine katyu? Do I have any right
to you?”

She
continues

“Look
katyu, I feel like I don’t own you…not yet. I don’t have the right! Not even a
small authority. I don’t even know where I stand right now. I don’t have any
clue. Tantrums? Maybe I just want you to move away coz I’ve fallen so deep and I’m
starting to worry about what’s to become of me when you’re gone. I’m asking you
simple questions but you can’t give any straight answer. You seem to be always
kidding around”

“I
got your point kyle. Sorry ‘bout that. I’ll be straightforward next time.”

“You
said that yesterday”

“I
did? No, I did not”

“Look…if
you’re thinking that I’m gonna chase you around like the other girls, you’re
mistaken! I’m not forcing anything. If you’re not serious about us and you feel
content about the situation then tell me honestly.”

“Huh?
I’m the one who should be saying that”

“You
cannot even open up! Katyu, I’m not stupid. And I’ve had a lot of heartaches
already”

“Okay”
he said

“So don’t
expect me to believe everything you say”

“Okay”

“Don’t
ever think that I never had doubts”

“Okay”

“So
please if you want this relationship to work be real and be honest”

“Okay”

“If
you want me only for pleasure just tell me”

“Okay”

“Tell
me where I stand so I can adjust!”

“Okay”

“And I
don’t understand why the other girls find you so attractive. I don’t! I’d
rather have a pet dog. At least dogs are loyal”

“You’re
so mean, kyle”

“Because
you want me to feel this way…you made me who I am right now. Sorry I’m just
being frank. I told you I’m for real and I’ve done my part. I’ve proven so many
things to you. I need you to do the same!”

“Whatever
kyle”

“See?
Darn it. This conversation is going nowhere. You’re not that serious about all
of this shit! Be real! If you can’t handle it tell me and I’ll stop. Let me
know when you’re giving up.”

“I won’t
give you up”

“You don’t
need to explain anything. It’s clear to me now. I know now where I stand.”

“Don’t
let go kyle! Hold on. Give it time. We’re not rushing, are we?

“I’m
giving time and space for myself. I don’t want to be involved with you knowing I
don’t even have the right. I’ll wait for you and I still feel the same. I’m
just protecting myself. I’ve learned my lesson. I should have self-respect so
people would respect what I feel.”

Katyu
is startled. His hands became cold.

“What
are you saying, kyle? Are you breaking up with me?”

“No.
I’m just telling you it hurts. I do hope you can do something about it. But I know
its difficult so just let it be. Let me hurting. I’ll get use to it.”

“We’ll
fix this. I want you to be my last. Let’s hope for the best. I won’t let go”

“I’ll
hold on for as long as I can, I promise. I love you but I’m scared”

“I
love you too, kyle. And I’m scared too. But you’re with me every step of the
way, right? That’s fair enough for me.

What
does tomorrow hold for Katyu and Kyle? To be or not to be? Disaster is 
just a heart beat away. Can they survive it? Or will they choose to
fold the cards and say goodbye? We'll see.
