“I’m really sorry”. The past 48 hours of Katyu’s
life was a series of apologies from Kyle. And although he is still hurting he
feels better now. Kyle has been exerting much effort to ease the pain that she
administered. She is being extra sweet and extra caring. Strangely enough katyu
feels diffident towards her. For he knows that Kyle is doing this in order to
pacify that turbulent heart of his and He appreciates the effort but it doesn’t
make him feel that glad really. Maybe katyu needs a warm hug or a passionate
kiss to becalm his churning emotion. Maybe soothing words are not enough
because the fact remains that katyu is hurting right now because Kyle failed to
keep her word.
Katyu sits in his office looking at an
empty space realizing that he wouldn’t feel this way had he only bottled up his
feeling for Kyle. But who is to blame really? He remember the words he said to Kyle,
a line he borrowed from the movie “only hope”, he said “don’t fall in love with
me Kyle. Promise me”. He grins. It’s because Kyle vehemently reacted when he
said those words. Saying that there is no way she could fall for katyu no
matter what. Now look at both of them right now. They obviously fell for each
other like the lame suckers that they are. Did they intend for this to happen?
Or perhaps they knew this would happen all along? But right now katyu is pretty
convinced that he intends to be cold and remain cold towards Kyle for as long
as it takes. Just so he could make Kyle suffer for the pain she’s causing him
right now. He doesn’t even intend to see her at least for the moment. A stupid
idea, he knows. For the colder he tries to become; the more the warmth he feels
for Kyle. The more he restrains himself from seeing her the more he misses her
so bad that he’s pretty sure the moment he lays eyes on her again he will
definitely run to hold her! Kyle doesn’t know this. She has no idea that katyu
longs for her so much. Maybe he should let her know? He wouldn’t, for he is
dead sure that Kyle would use this to her advantage. All women do. He grins
again. But this time his face lights up…a little.
It’s an idle afternoon. Nothing else to do
but reminisce on that first kiss they had. They say it’s always the sweetest.
Katyu wears a smile as he remembers every moment, every motion. Whatever
happened that night it was certainly special. He knows that one is true.
He examines himself trying to find the feeling he had that night but he couldn't
find it anymore. He knows why.
Before the incident of crash and burn
happened Kyle had Katyu’s full confidence. He practically believed everything
she said. Whenever she tells him she loves him katyu would fall head over feet
(almost literally) and whenever she says she misses him he gets the sweetest
feeling. The feeling of belonging to somebody you really want to belong to. But
now he doesn’t get the same feeling anymore. Even when Kyle says it more often
now it still feels empty just mere words. And this makes him sad. He is certain
that he still loves her though. Maybe he still continues to get overcame by
that feeling of betrayal. Perhaps that is the strongest emotion he has right
now.
What must Kyle do? What does she have on
mind to quell this looming falling out? Or does she even have any idea what to
do? Maybe she does. She must have! For if you love somebody like you say you
do, your heart will lead the way to redemption. One won’t even need academic
education to figure that one out.
They are walking on thin ice now. They are
being tested. |
