What to say

The moments before: suicide story

Here and now I sit and think
Of all those words I had to swallow
Burning downward like a drink
With no better hopes for tomorrow

Down the alleys in my mind
Softly stepping down the naked path
Lost in worry, lost in time
Working forward, but falling back

Taking answers in the dark
Never knowing where they'll come
So they circle like a shark
Gears in motion, day is done

Further stepping on the sea
Keeping my goals day to day
Fearing no prosperity
I don't listen to dismay

Softly turning like the wind
I can feel my beating heart
I don't know where love has been
My fragile world is torn apart

Open window drawing near
Broken focus at my feet
History is wrought with fear
And now the concrete, I will meet.

Zach... this is a beautifully sad poem, well written and I really liked it, I just wish you weren't in so much pain. Thank you for sharing

I actually wrote this about a friend who died about a month ago. It's his pain, I don't want it.
