The Mirror in my Mind

My Shadow fell on the mirror

and the face of denial smiled back to me.

I looked away.

When I turned to the mirror in my mind,

the face and the shadows disappeared.

Denial stood alone and the reflection

mirrored backed my true image.

I closed my eyes.
