You beckoned to me on that ordinary day

Your note, a
tempting chocolate treat

That normally would
not be indulged

My proud and regal reply

Fell impotent at
your feet

And words parted as
you laughed

I see into your soul and feel your anger

grabbed my heart

And then you gently

But our worlds preach of the danger

Of the other as
