our freindship you did erase
as if it never meant a thing

Leaving without a goodbye
never saying why
leaving me here without you
not a word I could say or thing do

I came to you at your time most sad and blue
I tried to cheer you
to give you an oasis to the madness
and a break from the coldness

I tried to warm you
and to mend you
and inside I was so glad
to befriend you
but inside I needed you too

When you left maybe you thought I didn't care
but inside my feelings for you were there
honest and unassuming
giving and not consuming

I aceepted you most graciously
and would not quit on you
when you needed me
and all along I thought you could see

You were someone to me

When you left suddenly
I took it so hard
It make my world feel colder
and so dark and put me on guard

But now those wounds have run their course
and I have only this remorse
You treated one who cared for you
with carelessness for which there is no recourse

God bless you on your journey
wherever it may be
but should we ever meet again
please walk the other way from me
