Rebirth

~ For Karl ~

The breeze sweeps across my wet face ,
My hair falls behind me
I’m lifted with rebirth
There was no pastor
No priest present
There was only you and I ;
With God watching over us
It was the naked honest truth
As Adam and Eve
In the Garden we played
The Holy place in which we danced
Your naked body and mine immerged in the Lords water
As if he himself baptized us
Granting us his blessing
Though both scared and unsure
What to do or say next
The line had already been crossed
The walls were torn down
Realization of this poetic masterpiece
Our time had come
As we strolled in each others arms
The start of our union
I spoke of the feelings I had when you were around
The warm and fuzzy closeness I felt to you
I felt comfort in an embrace following such a confession
As we drove off both seemingly dazed by the events
It was a time to come to grips as to what would be next
Shyly you asked “ Would you be interested in something like that ? ”
I cheapened it by the reply I gave due to still being guarded
What I meant to say was “ Make Love to me but only if you mean it.”
In the many hours that followed you and I experienced each other as never before
It was as if both virgins having never before been touched only to explore bliss
Only to find what we had never known could exist
Pure Honest Love
A gift God gave us both
Timed when so desperately we both needed it
Strange how we could both think life was not worth living
My love you were not the only one with plans to end the pain
We both have our inner complexes that run deep in our vanes
But together in this adventure of life
We shall carry each others burdens
Lighten each others loads
And realize that as one we are ok
We make us better
Through understanding
Honesty
Loyalty
Trust
Devotion
Conviction
And most of all Love
We are kindred spirits
Walking a harsh path
But together the road will be more passable
And life will be filled with a wonder that neither of us could have ever imagined
Baby I love you
You’re the best part of me!!
Someone told me once that you need not figure if you can live with him,
Rather decide if you can live without him
Just to let you know
