Raindrops

Do you know what it’s like
Waiting for the world to stop?
Waiting for the right moment
And the first raindrop?
Its hard waking every morning
To my same old empty verve,
Knowing that today will be the same
Is this really what I deserve?
The rain falls to the ground
As do the tears in my eyes,
While a piece of me
Slowly begins to die.
Do you know what it’s like
Listening to the rain drop?
Listening to the silence
And hearing my heart stop?
