A pretty smile from far away causes solitary thought to stray melts some of the lonely feeling before I retire and conclude the long day
In my eyes you'd see I'm falling asleep they're dry and I'm too empty to weep but your smile gives me a moment to keep and to think of something softer than counting sheep
The one I belong to says nothing and on her side she always does keep and the one I've fallen for won't with me leap so my lonely mountain feels hopelessly steep
But your smile is warm and bright and I feel your shy blush this night aware someone feels your spirit upon a pure smile of delicate pearly white
A new day I wish to you...wish me goodnight!
