Poets published in the Muses and Confidantes anthology Inspire the Planet will be featured at the Bowery Poetry Club in New York City on May 15.
Joining host George Wallace at the 6:30 PM reading will be poets Laura Fay Lewis, Lori Williams, Mark Fogarty, and Muses and Confidantes founder Remy Nation, who will read poems from some of the international poets represented in the anthology.
Muses and Confidantes is an artists’ collaborative based on two websites: www.igotmuse.com and www.myspace.com/musesandconfidantes. According to Muses and Confidantes founder Nation, “Inspire the Planet is exactly the kind of project M&C was started to pursue. It features eleven poets from three continents and shows how artistic inspiration can be channeled to spotlight creativity and to benefit humanity.”
The venue, one of the most famous spoken word clubs on the planet, is located at 308 Bowery in Manhattan. Admission is $6.
