 | The rain stopped, the clouds parted and as the air cleared there I saw
a light gone far too long the trouble waters turn calm. I reach out my
hand through the water to pull you from the drowning seas from the pain
of the night no longer to suffer, here by my side I take your troubles,
your fear within my arms the journey of yesterday lies in the past with
nightmares of before. I take you from the troubled world we travel this road, you and I. Two
paths far apart, converge in emotion, the emotions of our lives, trampled
by the passing crowds,on two different corners of this city. There we
stood, weary of loneliness. We've searched the world over,to find
ourselves here. Tonight we stand upon the end of the rope, how amazing it is, the very
last glimmer of hope. There where I thought was the end, the darkest of
the night shone bright. Even your tear stained cheeks, the wrinkles of
worry, you're eyes showed the way, with all I had I clawed my way
through the bush, the thick walls of thorns, a ground of quick sand. With
you to guide me, I found the way.And when at last you thought you'd no
where to turn,I reach out my hand, to pull you from the dirt. Lives spent in darkness, we crawled on our knees, from here to there,
without place to call our own. The twisted path of worry and
sacrifice, through the barbed wired punishment of each day. Hurt and
sorrow echo through empty eyes, the last glimmer of life shines
through, hollow hope. For there in the caverns of void, two lost people
have found a way,the drawings on the wall, lit by a hearts gleaming
passion,my love for you knows no bounds, from pains of travel and
regrets of turns taken, there I've found the worth of lives gone by. In the maze of jungle and weeds, amidst the snakes and lions of the city lights here I’ve found the flower, who blooms even in moonlight, beneath the
dawn, your glow returns, your hand with mine, our lips, beyond
separation. Two lonely travelers, deserted crossroads, love lost, now
found, never to be lost or abandoned. For my heart is yours and yours
mine, our paths become one, our hearts our guide. | |
