Upon a lustrous
Midnight surf
Cabernet Sauvignon
Spoke crystal clear
To my clandestine
Fondness of you

Intimidation which
Had held silent tears
In secret captivity
Was disillusioned
Through revelations
Of a mutual adornment

Although the laudable
Moon and its intensity
Were our only witnesses

It felt as if the world
Were watching
As your hand
Touched mine
And our dreams
Felt reality for
The very first time

Aloof distances which
Held our sad reserves
Of silent sentiments
In one moment
Traveled a lifetime
When love found
Courage and was
Moved to speak

A poetic moment
Of equal proportions
Or perhaps it was
Just the bottle of wine
That we shared
