On the road to nowhere


	I’m on the road to nowhere Crossing unfamiliar land Through an endless stretch of hardship Which I built with my own hand I’m trying to lose the misery Which I always seem to find I can’t start moving forward When I know it’s close behind I look into the distance Hopelessness is all I see And not a single helping hand Is reaching out to me There is trouble in my future But time will not stand still I can’t stand to see my life Quickly tumbling downhill There’s a signpost up ahead That reads “no one really cares” It signifies the truth This keeps me in despair My mom would gladly help If she were here today My dad would rather see me die Than have another bill to pay My decision is now evident I have nowhere else to go I’ve been living many years And have nothing left to show I’ve informed my friends and family Of my impending death I gave sufficient notice Before taking my last breath I know that you all heard me Every word I said was clear You didn’t bat an eye So, please don’t fake a tear!
