This is the moment I will stand on my own
The moment that will define me forever.
 
I plant my feet
Count the seconds
Think it through...somewhat..
And know my answer.
 
I’m on my own
No one else
This is it
My one true chance.
 
My moment to shine
This will start it all
I’m ready to go
I’ll risk the fall.
 
This will last a lifetime
I not just a kid
No time to play it safe
I’m jumping off this limb
 
Don’t try to catch me
I’ve learned to do it myself
It’s up to me-
and no one else.
