words from you stuck in my pocket
carrying round a piece of you as sure as if it were a locket
read in moments when i need you here
when i wish i could hold you near
so i read them often
and the edges have began to soften
the folds are faded
but the words do not fade
they stick with me forever more
but to see your writing i do adore
and so i carry them with me
when with you i cannot be
