Never want you back

Please don’t terrorize my heart any longer

These walls are being built to stop

Perjury and mistrust

Aimed to take life from this body



Desert surrounds these walls of salvation

Keeping me locked up tight

Hide me away

Out of sight



Emotions as dry as this sea of granules

It is here where I find myself safe

Away from a world of scrutiny and opinion



I could have told you that I wouldn’t have answered

Even if you crossed

Even if by chance you made it

And you were standing at my door



No one passes or decides their fate

Once they come this far

Decision in the mind of another

Is unpredictable



I don’t need to know why you’re here

I trust all your intentions

Will shadow over me in the future

That all your accomplishments will come back to me

Flood over these walls

And drown me out



You could have done everything

So why choose to make my life hell

Why come back

And destroy what little promise I had for myself



Your demands

Lead to me demise

Your decisions

Are my eventual defeat



Oceans flood this earth

You’re covering everything

At every angle

Every moment

Of everyday



Set sail on misery

Bathing myself vigorously

As if to be disgusted by your presence

Before and afterwards are worlds apart



Before a fire burned a thousand of times hotter then the sun

Blinding everyone to take witness of passion at it greatest

Afterward a heart was broken

Then a space missing took its place

Took the face of myself

Now I show no expression

Just…



Building up inside as these walls that were built

A hate and suspicion of your purpose

An understanding that self absorption was factor in your flaws



A long time ago I knew a pretty little girl

Who gave a fake heart

No beat

No life

I should have known then

That your caution of giving love

Was actually a plan to destroy well laid relations

A scapegoat from uncertainty

I’m sure one would say



I taking these gestures as goodbye

I’m leaving this life behind

With a note for those who find you

Stay away

Just stay away

Someday she’ll be okay

For love to her is lost

And your feeling will one day fade away away…
